Grade 55
Summary
F1554 Grade 55 is commonly used in many applications in the anchor bolt industry. Some examples include, but are not limited to the following: structural supports, strain poles, mast arms, Department of Transportation (DOT), and sag rods. F1554 Grade 55 has minimum yield strength of 55 ksi. F1554 Grade 55 is made of modified mild carbon steel and has higher yield strength than that of Grade 36. F1554 Grade 55 with an S1 supplement can be substituted for grade 36 at the manufacturer’s discretion.
TYPES OF FINISHES
F1554 Grade 55 anchor bolts can be manufactured in plain (black), mechanically galvanized, zinc or hot-dipped galvanized finishes, as well as others as per your request. AA Anchor Bolt, Inc. works with various facilities for quality assurance and quick turnarounds.
WELDING
Not all F1554 Grade 55 is considered a weldable material. If weldability is needed, the customer must specify Supplementary Requirement S1.
